He criticized the notion that the Biden-Harris administration is hostile to cryptocurrency, highlighting that former President Donald Trump labeled bitcoin a “scam” as recently as 2022 and his administration also had a contentious stance on digital assets. Scaramucci argued that Trump’s recent shift towards crypto is opportunistic, driven by potential fundraising and support. Drawing from his brief 10-day tenure as Communications Director for the Trump administration, Scaramucci has frequently cautioned against the former President’s changed stance on crypto.
